About Us

Our Mission

The Earth Center Conservancy inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which promotes the conservation of natural resources, environmental stewardship, horticulture and gardening. We seek to secure financial support through grant writing and fundraising to develop and expand the Earth Center's horticultural and educational programs.

The Earth Center

Located in Davidson Mill Pond Park, the Earth Center's mission is to provide sound, research-based information to meet the needs of Middlexex County residents. Education programs, demonstrations and tours are conducted in beautiful, themed gardens installed and maintained by Middlesex County Master Gardeners and community volunteers.

Upcoming Workshops at the Children's Garden

Saturday, June 28th, 9:30a.m: How Does Your Garden Grow?

Learn about the wonders of seeds and help plant some seeds in the Children's Garden. Discover what seeds need to begin growing, and how a plant utilizes nutrients and water from the environment.

Saturday, July 12th, 9:30a.m: Wiggly Worms in Our Garden

Learn about red wigglers and their role in vermicomposting.  What do worms need to thrive? How do they move in their habitats? Why do we depend on them? We may also get to meet some earthworms that live in and enrich the soil of the Children's Garden!

Saturday, September 13th, 9:30a.m: Succulents and Sand Garden

Learn about succulents and the environments in which they thrive. What makes a succulent different from other plants? Go on a Scavenger Hunt for succulents in the Children's Garden and create a mini-meditation garden to take home, complete with sand, succulents, and rocks.
