Learn about the wonders of seeds and help plant some seeds in the Children's Garden. Discover what seeds need to begin growing, and how a plant utilizes nutrients and water from the environment.
Learn about red wigglers and their role in vermicomposting. What do worms need to thrive? How do they move in their habitats? Why do we depend on them? We may also get to meet some earthworms that live in and enrich the soil of the Children's Garden!
Learn about succulents and the environments in which they thrive. What makes a succulent different from other plants? Go on a Scavenger Hunt for succulents in the Children's Garden and create a mini-meditation garden to take home, complete with sand, succulents, and rocks.
Advanced registration is required for all workshops. Contact Carol Richiusa at 732-398-5262 or carol.richiusa@co.middlesex.nj.us to register.
